Turkey Vulture: 4 apparent migrants S to N (also 4+ locals) Red-tailed Hawk: 4 apparent migrants SW to NE (also 6+ locals) Red-shouldered Hawk: 1 not migrating Unid. buteo: 3 apparent migrants (one possibly a dark Rough-legged) Cooper's Hawk: 1 (exhibiting display flight) Merlin: 1 migrant S to N Am. Kestrel: 1 migrant S to N Unid. small falcon: 1 migrant S to N note: this site is in the field at the north end of Black Oak Rd. (near met tower). It has excellent visibility to the west but the east vector is limited -- overall perhaps 60% the circumvisibility of the Mt.
