Today, I lead an SFO trip to Dryden Lake. We parked on the south end of the
lake in the small parking lot. As we headed toward the lake, the night heron
was on the east side of the walk just north of the pasture at the top of a
smallish tree. It suprised all of us. We also heard a Roughed Grouse
drumming over and over. After that, we still saw great birds, but it was
all downhill from the there.. Needless to say, that made the day for all
eleven of us.
Best,
Ann
