We had a spoonbill visit us in the tomato field this morning! Our Sandhill
cranes have 2 young ones that are getting pretty big now. [Jay Scott]

This from my brother today. He is a plant breeding professor at Univ. of
Florida's Ag. Experiment Station in inland Baum, Florida, southeast of Tampa,
near the Gulf Coast.

They have pairs of breeding Sandhill Cranes and their young there each year.
The station has a large pond, so they get a lot of the large wading birds,
including Roseate Spoonbills, occasionally. Also, alligators...
