Standing in front of the old P & C grocery store in Auburn on Fri. with no one
anywhere around, I heard a strange sound, similar to the intercom phones in
Rite-Aid pharmacy across the street which used to be just a few doors away from
P & C.

In a few seconds I again heard the sound. Weird!!!

I then looked around to see what might have caused the sound. Soaring just
overhead were several gulls. Sitting on the roof edge of the building was a
crow.

As I watched, the crow made a body movement like gulls do & mimicked the sound
of a gull!!

A few seconds later, it adjusted its body stance & made a normal crow caw ....
followed shortly by another gull call while changing its posture to be more
like that of a gull, right down to the bit of wing spread.

What a fascinating thing to hear & watch. My treat-of-the-day from Mother
Nature. Yes, it was up-lifting & brought a smile to my face.

Blessings to all,

Fritzie
