I went to see the Western Grebes yesterday, too. Thanks for the posting. They were out way too far to get a photograph . I have a 500mm lens with a 1.4 teleconverter and knew there was no way to get a shot from the park. They looked much closer to the other shore. Maybe if they had been found from there, there might have been a possibility. Even with the 30 power setting on my scope, the grebes were tiny specs. Carol Keeler
