Yesterday, Wednesday, Feb 23 around noon, a young TV was having lunch near one of the game farm buildings, visible from Game Farm Rd. It faced us in bright sunlight, making it easy to see the grayish head without any discernable red. We couldn't see what it was eating, but watched it repeatedly mantle over the food to fend off several hopeful crows.
Thirty-eight red-tailed hawks were perched on posts, nets, and the tree at the Game Farm; and more were in flight or perching in trees bordering the farm. There must have been 45 to 50 RTHA in total.
