What a difference a day (or night) makes! I woke up this morning to a yard full of noisy birds that weren't there yesterday:
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (2) Northern Flicker Eastern Phoebe RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET And about 10 times more Dark-eyed Juncos. My yard was a seething carpet of juncos, peppered with a few Song Sparrows and a FOX SPARROW. Instead of the half-dozen under the feeders that I had been having, I had at least 100. I did not, however, see any Common Redpolls. Yesterday I had at least 5.
