My morning bird walk around the yard was producing mostly the usual suspects for this time of year, but that was broken by a very nice surprise in the form of a FOY and new "yard bird": an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER. I first located it by it's song, then watched it for a few minutes as it called regularly and then disappeared to the north.
A great start to a beautiful day!
