Just got back from my evening walk having seen a Sandhill Crane. Location is on Halls Corners Rd. about .4 miles west of County Rd 142 in the field on the north side of the road (new wheat about 4" high in the field). Single, very brown bird. First seen by eye about 7:05 then found again with binoculars about 8:00 in the northwest corner of the field.
