I have been in contact with Eric Lewis. I asked him if the bird could
have been a Sora.  He said he thought about it but the bird was way
too small.  He said he saw one bird and heard another which was a long
series of clicks def. not a Sora.  He found these birds at Huckleberry
Swamp.  I can't get there for several days as my husband just had an
operation. Still waiting for him to come out of Anesthesia- all went
well so far.
