Around 4pm today, two Common Ravens were cruising over the newly mown hayfield just east of the observatory, then circling. Maybe looking for newly trashed Bobolink and Red-winged Blackbird nests. It's that time of year...... Numerous starlings and swallow sp. were skimming the field too.
