Just had a very vocal Red-shouldered Hawk flying over Tompkins County Unique
Natural Area #189 (my back yard). There was a response from an unseen
Broad-winged Hawk (a local nester), and the Red-shoulder, still vocalizing,
headed south up the gulf towards Seeley Hill, beyond which lies Fox Hollow, the
closest Red-shoulder breeding location that I know of.

Multiple singing Scarlet Tanagers here this morning.
