We checked out Frost Ravine (Cornell Natural Area on Mt. Pleasant) this
morning. There is a short section of steep ravine that looks suitable for
Acadian flycatcher, although we didn't hear one today. It is after the
trail officially ends, and after crossing the second utility cut. We did
hear an interesting bird song; we believe it to be a BLUE-HEADED VIREO that
has incorporated the chattery trill of a R.-S. TOWHEE into its normal song.
The towhee was singing adjacent.
