Montezuma Audubon Center's Education Manager Chris Lajewski will lead a Birding
Van Tour on Howland’s Island on Thursday,
November 7 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Howland’s Island is one of the wildest
places in all of Montezuma which makes it an ideal place for migratory birds
and other wildlife. Hop in the Center’s van for an excursion to the Island’s
birding hotspots that are normally off limits to vehicular traffic where dozens
of species of waterfowl, raptors, and songbirds can be seen and heard!
Participants can expect to walk short distances and are encouraged to bring
their camera and binoculars. Fee: $7.50/child; $12.50/adult. Space
is limited and registration is required. Please call 315-365-3588 or e-mail
montez...@audubon.org.
