Here by Cayuga in Lansing a brief walk to the shore yielded a magnificent pr.
of Pileated Woodpeckers mating in a tree, a charming Phoebe singing, and a
kingfisher zipping down the lake.
Plus a pretty male Mallard and the mother Ca. Goose incubating her eggs in the
huge flower pot on the neighbor's dock. They agreed to leave her be till eggs
hatch.
Ah spring!
