During an early evening walk around Cass Park yesterday I saw the pair of
Ospreys perched a few feet from each other atop a light standard in Union Field
at Cass Park, a different pole than supports the nest platform. They stayed
put the entire time they were in view, probably a half hour or more.

I was too early for fireflies but saw later from the house that they were quite
active. I scored pretty well on the color discernment test, so it's not a
matter of my eyesight that I'm not seeing reddish or any variant color
fireflies, but it's either a matter of me not yet paying enough attention or
them not being here.
