While checking out the Red-throated Loon Dave found off the Farmers' Market, I had my first-of-year RED FOX SPARROW in the brush at the southwest corner.
A couple of hawkwatches from Sapsucker Woods this morning did not produce anything unexpected, but I did see 5+ RED-SHOULDERED HAWKS and 5 TUNDRA SWANS, as well as Snow and Canada geese and other raptors. Students reported ROSS'S GOOSE and BLACK VULTURE over campus earlier. -- Jay McGowan Macaulay Library Cornell Lab of Ornithology jw...@cornell.edu -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/cayugabirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
