The Cayuga Bird Club will be meeting on Monday, April 13, at 7:30 at the
Cornell Lab of Ornithology, with cookies and conversation at 7:15. Title:
Their World of Sound: An Exploration of Bird Sounds
Speaker: Greg Budney, Collections Development Curator, Macaulay Library,
Cornell Lab of Ornithology Explore the lives of birds through a presentation of
sound recordings from the Macaulay Library, the world’s largest archive
of bird sounds. Birds make some of the most compelling sounds heard in nature.
From the stunningly beautiful to the bizarre, from drumming to mimicry, from
the Nightingale to the Musician Wren — we’ll listen to sounds that
birds use to communicate and the “window” these sounds provide into
their complex lives. Hope to see you there on Monday!

Correspondence Secretary
