A COMMON TERN just flew south past the spit at Myers Point and is now perched on a small buoy to the south. Two immature BONAPARTE'S GULLS were on the spit briefly, but no shorebirds to speak of. Willow Flycatcher and Orchard Oriole are audible from Salt Point.
