As I crested the easternmost hill on Mt Pleasant Rd on my afternoon walk (around 4pm today) a spectacular male Northern Harrier, tilting and swooping its way across the fields, had just sent up a crowd of Bobolinks jingle-jangling into the air. Wonder where he is nesting? Not Mt Pleasant...first harrier I've seen up there for weeks. Hope somewhere safe, where the nest will not get mowed when haying begins...
