A couple of highlights near Montezuma so far today: NORTHERN SHRIKE now in a tree near the end of Carncross Road.
Three GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE with a flock of Canada and Snow geese along Rt. 89 just north of 5&20. The whole flock took off a few minutes after we found them and broke up in all directions, so not sure where they ended up. A continuing MARSH WREN near the observation tower on the main pool, along with the same diversity of waterfowl in the reduced open water. And at least two LAPLAND LONGSPURS found by Joe Wing with Horned Larks just south of the potatoes building in the Mucklands.
