I just spent the last 15-20 minutes watching and trying to count a flock of
Snow Buntings feeding in some green-ish weeds at the junction of Mt Pleasant
and Mineah Rd. I estimate there were about 60. Eventually they all took off
flying high to the south, but when I rounded the corner on my way home at least
part of the flock was swirling round the corn stubble field opposite my house,
a place I've never seen them before. Since I could see them from my front
porch, Snow Bunting is now officially on my yard list!
