On Monday afternoon I came across a Broad-winged Hawk on Station Road (West Danby), just below the State Forest / Land Trust boundary. It was perched in a tree above the small stream there, in a typical hunting situation, so I would guess it's a local, newly returned from Veracruz or wherever...
