Yesterday, while driving on Cayutaville Rd, I spotted a Woodcock in the middle of the road. I slowed down and pulled over - the bird didn't fly away, but was making a bobbing motion. Thinking it might need assistance, I opened my door, talking to it, but it then started slowly walking to the other side of the road, continually bobbing. Is this part of a mating behavior, or was something wrong with the bird?
