Reuben Stoltzfus was cutting hay on his farm in Ovid today, where he has a great view to the west toward Seneca Lake. Between 11am and 11:30am he saw 500 Broad-winged Hawks migrating past on a series of at least 4 thermals. Later on he saw more migrating Broad-winged Hawks totalling an additional 300.
