My neighbor who lives a few houses south reported that at about 9:30 am today she saw a WHITE PELICAN flying north over Cayuga Lake. She noticed the black trailing edges on the wings and the long yellow bill on the large white bird. Said she couldn't believe her eyes, but it was a pelican! Too bad I was not looking at the lake at that time.
