Hi all, I just noticed that last year an historical report of a LARK SPARROW in Ithaca was added to eBird, referencing the 1979 New York State Avian Records Committee (NYSARC )Annual Report, published in the Kingbird Volume 30, Number 4. Looking at that online, as far as I can tell, all it says is that there was a singing adult on 5 September 1979 in Ithaca, and that it was “about the 8th” record in NYS. Does anyone know (or know how to find out) more specifically where it was or who observed it? Thanks!
