So I'm on Johnson rd. watching a group of 20-30 redpolls on the shoulder of the road. A bit south of them I see a harrier flying from the west and it crosses the road thru the small apple orchard. I keep watching the redpolls when suddenly, and seemingly out of nowhere, the harrier strafes the redpolls and flies out into the field and commences to have a late lunch (or early dinner)...redpoll on toast??? I imagine with the snow cover it's pretty slim pickings for the harriers (and short-earred owls) and a redpoll will do in a pinch... Sar
