Hi Donna and Ann,

This work is being done by National Grid, not NYSEG. NYSEG does not own that
particular stretch of transmission.
The discs are non-conductive, and from what I understand, they usually place
some sticks into the disc to try and attract the Osprey. Let’s hope it works
and is a safer solution for the birds.

Best,
Robyn Bailey

I have heard that ospreys don’t like those discs.
Nobody has used disc nest on rt 89 near East rd.

The nests are being torn down and replaced with the discs. No sign of Osprey.
