Hi Donna and Ann, This work is being done by National Grid, not NYSEG. NYSEG does not own that particular stretch of transmission. The discs are non-conductive, and from what I understand, they usually place some sticks into the disc to try and attract the Osprey. Let’s hope it works and is a safer solution for the birds.
