*Birds of Europe, 2nd edition* is also known as the *Collins Bird Guide,
2nd edition* when published by HarperCollinsUK. The 3rd edition is coming
out in hardcover Sept. 2022, with the paperback following in March 2023,
but in Europe, I'm not seeing the 3rd edition in PUP's spring catalog
listing (yet, I hope). Pointing this out because it's confusing and I've
known people who bought both books, thinking they are different. It's a big
book, and many birders I know use the Collins Bird Guide App in the field.
This is one of the best birding apps I've ever used with features not
available in the book, such as comparing species.
