Hi Deb, The Blue Jay is a “partially migratory” species. If you google “blue jay migration” you’ll get lots of hits that attempt in a few words (or a few paragraphs) to explain what this means. The persons who asked you to find out why they aren’t seeing Blue Jays this winter might get something (if not satisfaction) out of this one:
