Yesterday afternoon amid the first songs of the House Wren and the spring start-up of lawn mowers here in the village of Trumansburg, I heard a singing Yellow-billed Cuckoo in the woods along the western side of Bradley Rd. Seems early. Pieplow in Peterson's guide translates it as "kow, kow, kow" given at a much slower rate and quality than the Black-billed. Jared Dawson Trumansburg
