All, I reported and finally had a contact in the racing group. The omnibus reporting site is not accurate as to ownership as these folks trade racers.
Had lots of help from a few racers and we found that it came from the Albany area. There was a massive race that ran into bad weather and dispersed the birds. MANY birds have yet to return. with the owner of this one BUT he was loathe to come trap and was heading out on vacation. It appears that you have to trap the bird and place it in a box before anyone will come. As I told the guy, I no longer do ladders. WHAT TO DO: 1. do not feed the bird as it will then stay. 2. It should eventually leave. 3. Hope it leaves. 4.Repeat 1 through 3 or trap it. Here is contact number for the head of the racing group involved. Karl Peckham 401-635 5055.
