Hello Lansing residents who love birds and open space,

Lansing's volunteer Conservation Advisory Council is looking for a few new
members. This council advises the Town of Lansing board (as distinct from the
Village of Lansing) on conservation matters and prepares documents that assist
in decision making (e.g., Natural Resources Inventory, Open Space Conservation
Plan, etc.). We are seeking new members with varying expertise, so if you or
someone in your household has any kind of environmental expertise (e.g., soil,
water, agriculture, renewable energy, mapping, grant-writing, etc.) or is a
passionate outdoor enthusiast, please consider applying. We meet once a month,
with occasional extra time commitments. Here is our
website<https://www.lansingtown.com/bc-cac> and there is a link to the
application on the left-hand side menu ("Boards & Committees
Application<https://lfweb.tompkins-co.org/Forms/TOLBCApplication>"). I think
it's ok if you live in the Village or Lansing-adjacent and not strictly in the
town boundaries. Let me know if you have any questions about participating. The
application deadline is November 24.

Thanks for considering,
Robyn Bailey
