Must have strong .Net (4.0 or 3.5), (C#), SQL Server… Energy experience preferred, not required. * * *Job Description:* The RAD Developer will work closely with the traders and trading analysts on the trading floor to develop and support Front Office related applications and tools within a customer-focused global environment. A high degree of expertise is required with tools such as MS Excel/Access, C#.Net, GRID Computing, and Sharepoint besides the domain business knowledge. The RAD Developer will operate effectively at a regional level (and sometimes at a global level), building relationships with other members of the local (and global) RAD team, desktop team and market data teams, and will ensure that the business needs are met in the fast faced trading environment. Even though the focus is on the front office, the RAD developer will be required to develop solutions for other business domains such as middle office and back office *Key Accountabilities: * • Work closely with the Trading, Marketing and Analyst teams to deliver robust front office solutions • Make recommendations to solve business problems on the trading floor measured by feedback from key business users to the RAD Manager. • Collaborate with team members to design successful project solutions. Measured by feedback from the team to RAD Manager on a monthly basis • Work with other developers, Business Analysts and testers as part of the wider team within Oil Americas and Finance Information Technology and Services. • Contribute to the overall implementation of tactical/RAD projects as part of the development team. • Undertake analysis of systems, business processes, data and interfaces. • Supplement the existing RAD support team to provide application/system support to the front office • Assist with establishing an effective environment for rapid application development in the trading arena • Ensure that all projects are brought to RAD Manager's attention for review and prioritization • Escalate and alert RAD Manager of any major incidents encountered within 24 hours of incident. • Ensure that application rollouts are coordinated and there is effective collaboration with architecture, GOI and other support teams. • Record and track all development and support work in the appropriate systems • Provide status reports to RAD Manager on a weekly basis highlighted progress for individual and team *Essential Criteria & Qualifications * *Essential Technical: * • Extensive experience in development and support of a trading floor environment with business knowledge in Finance and Structured Products or Oil and other aspects of the Energy industry. • Able to function in a fast paced, high pressure environment where satisfying requirements on time is paramount • Deep expertise with a range of technologies such as VBA, MS Excel, MS Access, ASP .NET MVC2, C#, VB, .NET 3.5/4.0, XML, java script with jQuery, HTML, SQL Server and SOAP • Strong experience in programmatic use of real time and historical Market data systems including Reuters, Future source and PAWS • Proficiency with web based development, windows forms and windows service-based development • Familiarity with Object Oriented analysis and design • Familiarity with agile development methodologies • Experience gathering and documenting system requirements • Excellent multi-tasking, problem solving & analytical skills • Strong written & verbal communication skills • Motivated, proactive & independent.
