Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Minnesota Duration:12-18 months contract * *Make sure - candidates have mortgage industry background.* * Requirements: 1.Ability to provide total analytic support which includes data extraction, developing reports and synthesizing data. 2.Performs detailed analysis of complex business processes, data requirements and proposes solutions. 3.Creation and maintenance of reports to ensure quality standards are met on new and existing data. 4.SME for requirement creation and approval as it relates to reporting. 5.Responsible for developing, ensuring accuracy and explanation of ongoing operational metrics for supported business areas. 6.Answer questions and scenarios that may come up as the developers and testers work off the business requirements. Skills: 1.Experience using MS Excel including creating reports, formulas and tables. 2.Develops dashboards and reports. 3.Proven track record of performing business/data analysis, writing requirements and assisting with test plans 4.Assist in defining processes and standards to normalize incoming data 5.Basic to intermediate SQL (prefer Oracle) 6.Business Objects 7.MS Office Suite 8.Knowledge of data extraction, transformation and load process (ETL) 9.Basic understanding of XML Primary Technical / Business Skills: Data Analysis, candidate will need to do SQL, analysis and write requirements. Client wants an “Out of the Box Thinker” type. 25-30% of the day could be working on the data that is coming in and going out of from this group. Must work on client side of the house and be able to communicate back the IT group the needs of the business. Business understanding of mortgage, business objects report writer (don’t need the administration skills). Ideal Candidate - needs to have the following: Technical background Moved to the business side of mortgage and acted as an interface back to technologies Self starter Strong analysis skills. Strong written and oral communications Has worked in an enterprise function on the business side. These functions include management reporting, finance, MIS, etc. Ran projects while doing a lot of the roles in the project. They like getting their hands dirty. They need to have a perspective – not afraid to tell you what they think and can intellectually defend their positions. Easy going demeanor.
