Additional responsibilities include automated load/performance testing using scripts, as well as associated analysis of the network, log files and hardware utilization (CPU, memory etc). *Skills**:* · Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP (IPv4 & IPv6) networking, configuration, and monitoring, as well as protocols (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, FTP). · Strong practical experience with Solaris or RedHat Linux. · Strong practical database experience (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL). · Strong scripting experience (Perl, Python, Shell etc) to create and execute automated load/performance tests. · Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. · Exceptional written and oral communications skills. · Ability to manage day to day tasks and thrive in a collaborative environment with minimal supervision. · Practical experience with JAVA/C++ will be an asset. · Experience of DAC, DNCS, CA, EAS, DOCSIS, VOD, PPV, SDV, True2way and* *MPEG standards will be a clear advantage, as well as cable broadcast TV and IPTV.
