Position: Java testing consultant Location: Los Angeles, CA Duration: Longterm project *General Responsibilities:* Develop and maintain stress tests and functional test procedures for validation of Set Top Box (STB) products. Assist in troubleshooting of STB and test systems issues. Deployment of software tools/automated test systems/etc. created and supported by the team. *General Skills:* · Strong foundation in Software Engineering Best Practices. · Working knowledge of object-oriented design and programming. · Web development knowledge, for coding and debugging applications. · Working knowledge of build and integrated development tools, including Eclipse. · Working knowledge about database design/implementation (e.g., MySQL or similar), as well as proficiency in SQL. · Ability to work as an individual contributor or as a team participant. · Ability to work effectively in multiple tasks and with changing priorities. · Clearly able to communicate complex technical concepts both in writing and verbally to other team members and internal customers. · Understanding of Local Area Networks, including wireless. *Specific Responsibilities:* · Implement code (primarily Java/Java EE, JSP, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS) in accordance with software design and/or requirements/specifications for STB automated stress tests. · Document source code. · Troubleshoot and document bugs associated with tools. · Maintain (including bug fixes), refactor, and optimize existing software. · Perform unit testing of code. · Perform system testing of code. · Produce clear system and end-user documentation. *Education and Experience Requirements:* · BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline. · Experience configuring and troubleshooting Local Area Networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP, Wireless, low-end LAN routers, switches, and APs).. · Experience developing software using Java and JavaScript. · Experience with Linux: general use, scripting, deploying web applications. *Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus:* · Development using other object oriented or scripting languages · Quality Center / Test Director · Quality Center APIs and DB Schema · Data communication interfaces/technologies, such as serial, IR, etc. · Use of Linux · JQuery/angular/node.js/PHP · SQL Server - -- *Thanks & regards* *Akhilesh* * Recruiter* *KLN**tek* 324 E.
