Position: Messaging Exchange Architect or Engineer Location: Alpharetta, GA Type: 1 year contract Minimum Requirements: 5+ years’ designing, migrating and administering large Exchange 2003/2007/2010 environments Plan and design Exchange migrations from Exchange 2003, 2007, Lotus Notes and others. Implementation of High Availability technologies for Exchange Practical knowledge of SMTP routing, Active Directory/LDAP, DNS and secured messaging transports. Experience designing an Exchange infrastructure in an enterprise scale environment. Experience in a clustered environment Highly knowledgeable in data recovery and high availability systems support and design. Proactive systems level manager eager to recognize and resolve application and hardware issues. Create migration plans to perform mailbox moves and enforce mailbox retention policies managed by AD group policy. Experience managing mobility devices to include BES, iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. Experience planning and executing Exchange consolidations, relocations, and migrations. Experience implementing disaster recovery and disk based backup strategies. Experience developing and managing data center operations procedures including change management, and incident management. Candidate must demonstrate extensive, proven hands-on experience with design, engineering, performance optimization, deployment and support of enterprise environments on Intel and VMware platforms with the skills to move the environment toward a highly consolidated architecture. Experience with performance monitoring tools and reporting methodologies. Experience in managing high level, high visibility projects with vendors and customers. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or 8+ years’ equivalent experience is desired. Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certification strongly preferred. Experience in consolidations involving thousands of users migrating to high availability infrastructure. VMware knowledge and experience strongly desired. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple projects.
