Expand capability using various open source data processing technologies like Postgre, Spark and Hive, along with Python and R into our infrastructure. Become an expert of AWS services that we leverage. Help to efficiently integrate our big data infrastructure in the AWS cloud. Build services, deploy models, algorithms and provide tools to make our infrastructure more accessible to all our data scientists. Requires a degree or 3-5 years’ experience in field or related area. *POSITION REQUIREMENTS:* o Consuming new technologies with relentless desire o Learning new topics, developing new skills and using new tools o Customer engagement including ideation, design thinking, and seeking rapid feedback o Detailed technical problem solving and troubleshooting o Scripting and statistical software environments such as python and R o Experience with AWS or other cloud based platforms o Relational database design and access (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) o Various open source big data processing technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Cassandra and Neo4J o Comfort with Linux/Unix, Docker or Cloud Foundry o System design with Service APIs/RESTful services o Developing large-scale, custom distributed software systems in C# .NET and/or Java/Scala.
