*Position: Sr. Automation Engineer* *Location: **Mt Laurel, NJ* *Duration:* *11* *Months* *JOB DESCRIPTION:* · *Install* and *test software* • *Set up monitoring systems* for all new hardware and software • *Perform functional, regression, performance and automation testing* • *Automate* and *maintain disaster recovery procedures, user assistance* and* troubleshooting* • *Configure and manage the automated deployment process* • Work on *proof-of-concept applications* and conduct exploratory experiments with new technology • Conduct performance and scalability testing with customized load generating tools • Work with the *Quality Assurance team* and *Developers to design* and *execute test automation of all applications* and *processes* • Diagnose performance issues both in the lab and in production, and propose and implement improvements • Analyze and resolve complex technical problems, particularly pertaining to *Big Data products* and *applications* • *Provide 24x7 on-call production support* *Skill Set:* • Strong background in *Linux/Unix Administration* • Strong background in *Networking technologies* and protocols: *DHCP, DNS, CMTS, IPv6, TFTP, SNMP* • Strong *Java* and *C/C++ skills* • Experience with *automation/configuration management using Ansible* • Ability to use a wide variety of *open source technologies* and *cloud services* • A working understanding of *code* and *script (PHP, Groovy, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)* • Working knowledge and experience with *test case creation, agile methodologies, functional/performance testing, automation tools* • *Hands-on operational experience with Cassandra NoSQL and Hadoop* • Strong experience with *Kafka messaging queues* • Working knowledge of messaging technologies such as *JSON, XML, REST, Avro* Regards….?
