Hi everybody just to let you know that Internet Governance Forum, which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh 15-18nov, has finally approved the workshop "Open Content and Open licensing in the Arab World: opportunities and challenges facing their use and applicability" proposed by Rami Olwan, one of the CC leads in Jordan http://www.intgovforum.org/cms/index.php/component/chronocontact/?chronoformname=WSProposals2009View&wspid=176 Mabrouk to Rami and to all the people that have extensively worked with him to propose topics for the session. Rami will contact the people listed as speakers to have final confirmation as required by the IGF. Workshop 199 is officially inviting Creative Commons to take part to their panel , but being the topic a bit technical on "Arabic Script IDNs" I am not sure who would be able to cover it. If anybody of you is interested, could you pls get in touch with me on pvt email. As for workshop 274, where many of our friends are taking part -like the Meedan team, Ed and Anas- that would be great if we can have Helmi's speech merging with their panel, if both of them agree and like to do so.
