I don't really see what your assumption on whether something might be of interest tomost of us is based on. From what I see, jokes – to take your example – are likely to be as targeted (if not more) than an Arab Research grant program. For one thing, all the the participants of this list have some sort of sense of humor. Besides I really think this list is for all us to communicate on things that might help us improve. It is my understanding that this list was created for a specific purpose – Donna, correct me if I'm wrong. From the last ten discussions on this list, four of them were totally unrelated to CC or the list itself: * ICNL Announces Arab Research Fellowship and Grant Program (Hayder Hamzoz) * Help spreading the word: camps everywhere (samer, ourproject.org) * Training about 10 tactics and Facebook (Hayder Hamzoz) * Facebbok in iraq - Statistics الفيسبوك في العراق - أحصائيات (Hayder Hamzoz) I don't think it's a great idea to diverge into a broader scope, as the list is likely to lose its readership. There are other media to use for dissemination of information to an arab audience (twitter, etc). I will refrain from commenting on that issue in the future, as I think my message has been clear to Donna in the other topic I created about moderating the list.
