Thank you so much Ala, I'll let you know, once the we have the total list of participants :)
Once again thank you so much for volunteering to help. 12 июля 2011, 10:53 от "Ala Suleiman" <[email protected]>: Dear Darine, We are a specialized company for Arabic Audio Books Production, we offer any audio processing, voice over, effects and Arabic commentary. The thing is we are not involved in music production, editing or recording, But I can talk to some partner studios to help in that if necessary. Please, let me know if we can help in any audio related phase. I am glad we have a graphist and animator on board. Everything will become clearer once we have the final list of people who want to commit to taking part in the project and it will take a life of its own hopefully! Others I am awaiting your feedback! Cheers, Darine 12 июля 2011, 00:35 от Hisham < [email protected]>: What a brilliant idea to build and share a common work across the Arab region. I'm sorry I missed out on the Tunis meeting. It sounds like it's been a successful gathering. I would love to contribute. I do posters but I also love to edit videos and animations. What about a film which script we would write together, each one playing a tiny part in a huge patchwork with a simple story and a narrative drawing from the ideas of change and freedom. You must have talked about this already so sorry if I'm pushing an open door. All the best and keep us updated. During the meeting in Tunis, we had the idea of starting a remix project across the arab world amongst artists and creative with different talents, from audio, to video, graphics, sketching, comics, creative writing ... which can be compiled into one final work and presented during the CC International Gathering in Poland in September. That would also help the artists get to know each other and learn how they can build on each others work which is the whole purpose of CC and the CC Community. IN SHORT: By the end of Next week, Friday 15 July, I need a reply from those of you who want to contribute and what sort of artwork would you produce. THE THEME: Seeing the wave of change that is sweeping the region, the theme of the project is around showcasing the new wave of creative freedom as well as interweaving the influence and interrelation of culture and events which we all share in the region, to showcase the extraordinary wealth of invention and enthusiasm towards sharing and art that we have in the region, as well as how each and every artist sees it differently and illustrates that. HOW WILL WE EXECUTE THAT? To facilitate that we will follow the following: - Stephanie volunteered to build a simple wordpress website where the artists can upload their work and write about it ( Jordan open source and CC Qatar will help with any technical needs / hosting) 1- An artists starts the work, by creating their piece of the puzzle and writes / documents the process, how he/she got inspired , the concept in a blogpost 2- That artwork is sent to the next artist, who has to build upon it, or create a new piece of work that integrates or draws inspiration from that work, then he sends it to the next artist and upload his brief on the website and soon 3- Final committee (one artists from each domain) will remix the work into a final video that would be showcased in Poland - Artists would be working based on deadline to make sure we can complete the project in time - Of course all the work would be licensed under CC BY NC license. NEXT STEPS: - Members of the CC community, feel free to share this email with others in your community and other artists - If you want to be part of this project, send an email by Friday 15 July, in reply to this email, confirming that you would like to participate and what sort of artwork would you individually like to contribute ( e.g. you want to contribute a photo, illustration, audio, song, poem, short movie, translation..,..) , based on that we will draw and share a calendar - Stephanie , please let us know know what sort of help do you need in builkding the website, I can take care of the basic content and let us draw a plan for that ... - ***** If someone can translate this into arabic, for those in the community who can not understand english it would be awesome.***** Looking forward to all of your responses and working with you guys and seeing how the art evolves. Feel free to send in any questions, and share the project with other artists in the region that may be interested in participating, Cheers, Darine @sdarine Theidentitychef.com -- لقد تلقيت هذه الرسالة لأنك مشترك في المجموعة "CC Arab World المشاع الإبداعي" من مجموعات Google. -- Hisham | هشام Twitter | twitter.com/Hisham_G the Mirror | almiraatblog.wordpress.com المرآة | almiraat2.wordpress.com GVO author | globalvoicesonline.org/author/hisham/ Project | talkmorocco.net Skype | hisham_almiraat Facebook | Hisham Almiraat | [email protected] Tumblr | almiraat.tumblr.com Mobile (France): +33 679 39 32 32 Home (France): +33 9 52 19 75 28 -- لقد تلقيت هذه الرسالة لأنك مشترك في المجموعة "CC Arab World المشاع الإبداعي" من مجموعات Google.
