Hello creative commoners
I hope this isn't too much of a stretch, but I was hoping I could talk to
someone in Lebanon about the ISF request for users' online passwords and
information, in addition to sms records. There are some conflicting reports
about what has already been handed over, and what the ISF asked for, but
apparently the Cabinet meeting today referred the matter to a judicial
committee? Who works on privacy rights and technology in Lebanon? I'm
writing an article about it but I'm happy to talk off the record for
background if someone isn't comfortable going on the record.
Drop me an e-mail if you know about this/know of someone who can properly
wonk out about it.
Best,
Meris Lutz
