Category: livecontent Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 7 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Asheesh Laroia (paulproteus) Summary: Wireless does not work out-of-the-box on Macbook Initial Comment: I have a black Macbook of the second generation (2Ghz, 2GB Intel Core 2 Duo). Using the live content 2.0 DVD it will startup (quite quickly actually), but the wireless card does not seem to be recognized. This results in a 'cannot get page' error when Firefox launches. I suggest to not automatically try to connect to an online site, but instead load the content locally from the dvd, so the user experience will be good regardless of being online or not. FYI: here's some info relating the macbook and wireless using Ubuntu: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook Feel free to contact me for help with debugging: burobjorn [ A T ] burobjorn [ D O T ] nl All the best, ps: Great work!
