Hello. I am a student and I am interested in the whole GSoC thing. I spoke
on the IRC channel to ea4xgr and briefly to nkinkade and expressed an
interest in the Attribution Helper Browser
Extension<http://wiki.creativecommons.org/Attribution_Helper_Browser_Extension>idea.
ea4xgr said that he was working on this project and asked me a few
questions about my interest. One of the things that I don't want to do is to
take a project from someone who is enjoying working on it, unless they would
really like another person on the project. ea4xgr asked me if I were
interested in doing the extension for Firefox or for Chrome. I personally
prefer Firefox, but have not worked on an extension for Chrome or Firefox so
I would have to learn how to do it either way.

If anyone knows of a different project they might suggest please feel free.
I am including what sort of things I have experience with. I know C++, Java,
PHP, and a little JavaScript. I can also do SQL, but have worked mostly with
MySQL. For version control I have used svn. I am also very interested in
learning new things. I have taken many classes on a variety of topics. I
actually graduate with a BS in Computer Science very soon, but I have
checked the rules for GSoC and I still can enter.

An idea that I have had while typing this up is an extension for Google Wave
so that waves can be marked as a certain type of content. Does anyone know
of something like this that already exists? Would this be something that
might work for a GSoC project? Please feel free to let me know what you
think, I am always open to new ideas.
