Tags are just a good way to watch routes and make sure you don't have loops anyplace.  It's a scalable way because you don't have to keep editing the route map like you would an ACL as routes change!

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Setting Tags

Hi
Again and for the third lab now, while redistributing routes from OSPF to EIGRP and vice versa, a route-map is configured to set tags, without any use of such tags in any other place. Is there any technical requirement behind this step, please i need to understand such piece of configuration. I found the same configuration in solutions of WB v6 and v7.
Any explanation will be highly appreciated.
Thanks/Regards
