If the word "appropriate" is used, I probably would not put
them on both switches as it wouldn't really help anything. If nobody
cares, it wouldn't hurt anything either. (especially if you're just using
cut'n'paste) :)

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Creating VLANS when the "appropriate" keyword isspecified
Hello,
I have a question regarding creating VLAN's.
In Lab 37, the instructions say "create the VLAN's on the "appropriate" switch
and since these VLAN's are outside the supported scope of VTP, we must create
them statically on each switch. This leads me to believe that the
question may be asking to only configure the applicable VLAN's on only the
switch where they are required. The Proctor Guide has all the VLAN's
configured on each switch, regardless of any device using the VLAN or
not. Would both ways be considered correct?
Also, I have a general trunking question
when the instructions state to "only trunk the VLAN's used in this
scenario", does this mean to only trunk the specific VLAN's that are needed on
each side of the trunk or "all" the applicable VLAN's?
Thanks,
Kevin
