hello everybody, i am novice in cisco technology. i have 3* 3640 router. one of them have 32/8 MBD DRAM/flash.
i bought separate 128/32 DRAM/FLASH. but when i am installing those memory, the router gives the following error message : ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Main memory is configured to 32 bit mode with parity disabled ERROR: Illegal system memory (DRAM) configuration. ERROR: Illegal system memory (DRAM) configuration. Unable to boot due to illegal DRAM configuration - aborting +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ i tried the same memory with other routers and they work fine. BUT THOSE ROUTERs HAVE DIFFERENT MESSAGE IN THE BEGINNING which is "Main memory is configured to 64 bit mode with parity disabled" i think this (32 bit) is the main problem. is there any option so that i can convert that 32 bit into 64 bit? anybody pls help me out of this situation.
